Our Vacation 2002

We spent July 8th - 14th in the mountains of Blue Ridge, Georgia. We stayed at The Last Resort just south of Blue Ridge in a beautiful cabin nestled in the trees on the side of a mountain. Blue Ridge is the entranceway to the Smoky Mountains, part of the Applachian Mountain range.

The weather was wonderful (low 60's at night; low 80's during the day). We were rained out of horseback riding on our last day, otherwise we couldn't have asked for better weather.

The ol' Caddy handled the 575 mile drive each way as well as the worst roads in our resort that we had ever driven on. Our cabin was all uphill and we even had to drive through a stream.

We enjoyed driving around northern Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina, as well as the other activities pictured in these pages.

Please check out the pictures and read the short narratives by using the links at the top of the page. Our only regret was not taking more pictures.
